Warranty

PLEASE READ THIS SHIPPING POLICY  CAREFULLY  BEFORE PURCHASING.

The product of General Iron Doors is warranted to the original owner from any defects in material and workmanship that would make our doors not serviceable or not usable under normal conditions.

All product finishes may age relative to exposure. The finish is warranted against rust, flaking or peeling from normal wear and tear for a period of 3 years from date of delivery. Moving parts and welds are warranted for a period of ten (10) years from date of delivery, excluding weather stripping, door sweep and door threshold.

The warranty shall be void if the product was damaged by contractors or repaired without proper authorization by an authorized representative of General Iron Doors. Such warranty shall not be applicable to normal wear and tear (such as, but not limited to, door threshold, door sweep, weather stripping), elements of nature, natural disasters, strikes, acts of God, or other events beyond the control of General Iron Doors.

We warrant the glass from fogging as a result of normal operation for a period of 1 year from date of delivery. Scratches on glass or door finish as a result of pets or foreign objects are not covered under our warranty.

For any of our doors not installed by General Iron Doors we assume no responsibility or liability for any labor charges regarding installation, removal or re-installation of doors not done by our company.

Damages caused by accident, misuse, abuse or improper installation are not covered under this warranty. This warranty does not cover damage caused by paint, acid or other chemicals. This warranty is strictly limited to the repair or replacement of the product if deemed defective, we assume no other liability.

This warranty does not cover broken glass, improper storage, installation and maintenance, improper cleaning, condensation on interior door surfaces as a result of cold climate installation, and moisture penetration resulting from normal wear.

All Iron door products exposed to below freezing climates may set on the interior of the door. This is not considered to be a defect with the door and will not harm the door.

All warranty claims must be approved by an authorized representative of General Iron Doors. We have the right to view, inspect, examine any and all products claimed to be defective by customers. Failure of customer to permit such access shall be deemed a waiver of all of Customer’s rights under such warranty.
